Tomorrow I will attend the first Italian developer event on
Windows 8!
After having organized, together with Microsoft, the event in
Turin in order to follow the BUILD streaming of Windows 8
(09/13/11), the laboratories of both
Windows Phone 7 and Windows 8 (15-16/03/12) and the evening
meeting at
TTG on Windows 8 (03/15/12) ... this time I can enjoy the event
as an interested and curious attendee!
The event has been designed to give an overview on new concepts
to develop METRO applications, on the internal architecture of the
product and on the new Windows 8 marketplace that will be created
for publishing applications.
Although my principal focus is still on Embedded solutions, it
is important to know the new technologies of Windows 8 in order to
apply them in the CTP1 (Community
Technology Preview) of Windows Embedded Standard 8, released
last week.
The event, held at the Microsoft Innovation Campus (near the
airport of Milan Linate), will attend as speaker also Giorgio
Sardo, Senior Evangelism Evangelism Manager in the Windows team at
Microsoft Corporation, responsible for applications in the
Store.
The event is already "sold out", so the advice is to go on the
Microsoft web-site for more information on upcoming events from
and to follow this one from "home" in
streaming.
